Trish Farry is a clinical instructor in anaesthesia, within the School of Veterinary Science at The University of Queensland.
 

Trish is an accredited veterinary nurse with specialist qualifications from the USA in Emergency & Critical Care and Anaesthesia and Analgesia. Her areas of teaching include small animal anaesthesia and analgesia and clinical practices for undergraduate veterinary and veterinary technology students.

Professional positions held by Trish include the Board of Regents for the Academy of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Technicians (AVECCT) and the Academy of Veterinary Technician Anesthetists (AVTA).

​

In 2008, 2014 and 2015 Trish received the Award as “The Clinical Staff Member who has made the Most Outstanding Contribution to The Veterinary Technology Learning.” In 2009 Trish received a University Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning.

In 2017 Trish was awarded the AVECCT Technician of the Year as well as the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia (VNCA) Veterinary Nurse of the Year.

To date, Trish has published 12 book chapters and several journal articles in the field of small animal anaesthesia and analgesia and has spoken at several major conferences including VNCA, BSAVA and IVECCS. 


Trish is the Conference Convenor for the Annual Veterinary Nurse and Technician Conference held at The University of Queensland, which averages 100 delegates per year.
