Dr. Beale is a board-certified surgeon and co-owner of Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas. He joined the practice in 1992 after completing his residency and serving on the faculty of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Beale has a special interest in arthroscopy, minimally invasive fracture management, medical management of osteoarthritis, and perioperative pain management. He has authored many book chapters and scientific articles on these topics and is a co-author of the Small Animal Arthroscopy textbook. Dr. Beale is a frequently invited speaker to local, national, and international meetings. He is a past president of the Veterinary Orthopaedic Society, past president of the Gulf Coast Veterinary Education Foundation, and active in the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Dr. Beale was awarded the Specialty Veterinarian of the Year Award by the Texas Veterinary Medical Association in 2010.
