Dr Jason Mouatt became a Small Animal Surgery Specialist (FANZCVSc – Fellow of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Surgery) in 2003. Dr Mouatt graduated from the University of Queensland (BVSc) in 1991, spending the next five years in general practice.

His enthusiasm for surgery progressed to a residency in Small Animal Surgery at the University of Queensland. From there, Dr Mouatt spent 4 years as the Clinical Head of Small Animal Surgery at University of Melbourne Veterinary Clinic and Hospital before joining the team at VSS in 2004.

His surgical interests include neurosurgery, surgical oncology and joint surgery.
