Dr Simon Puttick - Visiting Research Scientist

Dr Puttick is in early career research at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology at the University of Queensland. He received his PhD in Physical Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Nottingham in 2012 following which he went to a Research Fellow Position at the Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre at the University of Cambridge. He is currently a Research Fellow at the University of Queensland and a Visiting Scientist and Project Leader with the CSIRO Probing Biosystems Future Science Platform. Dr Puttick's current research focuses on the development and application of new diagnostic imaging technologies and advanced therapies for primary brain tumours. He is currently leading the development of a comparative oncology trial for the translation of novel theranostics through the treatment of domestic dogs with naturally occurring primary brain tumours.
