Wendy grew up in the midwest USA.

After first seeking the sunny weather of California and obtaining a degree in marine biology, she permanently relocated to Brisbane in 2000.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Queensland in 2006.

After graduating, Wendy undertook an internship with Veterinary Specialist Services in 2007, and commenced her residency in Small Animal Medicine in 2010, the same year she obtained her MANZCVS qualifications.

Although she is interested in all aspects of internal medicine, her special areas of interest include gastroenterology, endocrinology, immune-mediated disease and critical care.
